Animals respond to Homoeopathic remedies in both acute and chronic situations in much the same way that we do. Wonderful news for pet owners, HEC is creating a range of remedy kits for your pet. The most popular kit is our general purpose Animal Remedy Kit for the family pet. Remedies included cover situations such as accidents, tummy upsets, respiratory complaints, fear and anxiety, travel sickness and flea and insect bite relief. This kit contains 15 small vials and a Rescue Remedy as well a full instruction sheet.
Other kits available are Pregnancy, Birth & Feeding Kit and a Baby Animal Kit with remedies to help with separation, growth, calcium metabolism and other ailments common to baby animals. The Centre stocks several excellent reference books written by veterinarians and other animal experts.

The Healthy Cat by Madeleine Wright covers many alternative treatments for your furry friend including homoeopathy. As Fremantle veterinarian, Clare Middle states in the forward, 'Cats as a species are particularly sensitive to energetic medicines such as homoeopathy and flower essences. (Energetic medicines are those which act on the energy field of the animal rather than directly on the physical body.)' This is a good starter book for those interested in treating the minor health problems of their cat with an alternative approach.
Canine & Feline Fellas: 'The most frequent problem met in the veterinary surgery related to the male system is that of Hyper-sexuality. The young dog especially about the age of 1 1/2 to 2 years old may becomes vagrant, peevish, over-boisterous, slightly unreliable and urinates territorially. This problem can lead to prostate problems, cystitis, paraphimosis, injury from jumping fences and car accidents. The dog becomes anti-social and can suffer injury by the hand of offended owners of other dogs or property. Consider the remedies Gelsemium, Lycopodium, Phosphorus, Tarantula and Zincum.
Weakness can occur as a result of these problems, consider Conium or Picric Acid. Pulsatilla or Sepia can also be valuable. Problems in the older male dog consider for Prostatic problems - Agnus, Conium, Pulsatilla, Sabal Serr or Selenium. Difficulty passing stool - Nux Vomica or Thuja. Difficulty passing urine - Merc cor, Cantharis. In underweight, young dogs with slow urine stream - Baryta Carb.
Castrated animals may have their own set of problems and can be slow to respond to treatment, perseverance is encouraged. Male dogs may have bilateral hair loss on the sides of the body and prone to overweight. Cats may be prone to 'miliary eczema' Constitutional treatment is recommended however Testosterone can help and Pulex - potentised flea.'
